About The Event
Welcome to the 12th Annual Chicone Village Day at Handsell. Living history interpreters, artisans, and representatives from Maryland's Eastern Shore tribal groups will demonstrate Native skills, discuss history and traditions, and exhibit historic artifacts and items. Visitors can also view Chicone Village's Native longhouse and garden, and docents will give tours of Handsell, the site's Colonial-era house. The event is sponsored by the Nanticoke Historic Preservation Alliance. A $5.00 donation is requested to attend the event. For additional information visit restorehandsell.org
