About The Event
The Allegany County Historical Society, Oxbow Cultural Research, the Western Maryland Chapter of the Maryland Archeological Society, and the Jane Gates Heritage House are pleased to hold a new program of public archaeological lab days during the month of April. Archaeological excavations at the Jane Gates Heritage House recovered several boxes of artifacts dating from the late 19th century and early 20th century. We will meet for hands-on cataloging session until the artifacts are analyzed and documented. It is open to the public and no experience is necessary to participate.
