Every year, members of the public are given the opportunity to see what it is like to be an archaeologist and excavate an actual site, through the JPPM Public Archaeology Program. You can help us dig and screen for artifacts or wash objects at the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Lab.

About The Event
Every year, members of the public are given the opportunity to see what it is like to be an archaeologist and excavate an actual site, through the JPPM Public Archaeology Program. You can help us dig and screen for artifacts in the field or wash objects at the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Lab. Each day offers opportunities for those who want more than just digging. Registration is mandatory. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Spots are filling fast so don't hesitate to sign up.
